With A.B.
We had a zone meeting at the institute building at Southern Virginia University, in Buena Visa VA, on our way out of town we took a district photo in front of the "Whole Armour of God" statue on the campus (this is the LDS university in the mission) 
​Another fun thing is during the summer there are several EFY trips held on the campus here, so as we went walking through, by some 200+ LDS youth we felt a bit like Rock-Stars as they called out "I'm Mormon" "hello Elders" and just having everyone stop and look and wave to us...it was surreal and very welcome...how grateful I am to be a missionary!


So this week we had a very full house at church because of all the New Medical Student families moving into the ward over the past week, (we had 4 families move out and 7 new families move in) we had been praying for a good member freindshipper's for the B. family and sure enough I have no doubt the Lord answered our prayer with the arrival of the N's...who moved in two doors up from A.B.!

Our group in the end of the cave...six investigators came with us, The H. Boys, G. Boys, and Glk. Girls. We also taught a short lesson about the Holy Ghost again likening the Holy Ghost the our flashlights in the total darkness.

Did I mention how much I have loved having Elder Myers in my district again, we went on an exchange and it was just like back in Parkersburg again.

So much happened this past couple of weeks and it feels like time just keeps moving faster and time to type gets shorter, I will do my best to sum up a few of the highlights of the weeks. Exchange with Cave Spring Elders/Elder MacDonald's Surgery - An elder in our district Elder MacDonald had been suffering from some headaches and major dizziness for a week or so after some usual remedies didn't work he was recommended to go see a doctor, who after learning his heart rate was dangerously low, he was shortly admitted to Lewis Gale Hospital. The gave us a call shortly after and we met them at the hospital. As this all unfolded it was concluded that Elder MacDonald needed a pacemaker...All went well and after 3 days He was able to return to missionary service and did not have to go home:) As I watched all this unfold I was amazed at how many people involved were touched in little ways. One of the largest was the opportunity to Elder Wilkinson to feel the fulfillment of support

  Whaooo...I am staying in Parkersburg! :) Well what a week Everyone, It is Transfer Week and Guess what, I am getting another companion, and this one I am determined to keep at least two Transfers! At least this time my companion is and I are leaving successful and Happy...I am really going to miss Elder Williams, he has taught me so much and between Elder McFarland and Elder Williams I have not only become a better missionary, but I also feel stronger and happier in General and There are so many things that I know I have learned from both of my Trainers that I will carry through my mission and into my life afterwards too. Love you Both Elders!    Elder Williams and I had a great final week of our companionship, as Summer here is drawing to a close, since most of the schools here resume in the coming week or two (due to all the snow-days from the harsh winter). Dearest All, well how grand a week...with 10 new investigators...which is simply incredible! Which will give us plenty to do while the G.'s are on vacation for a week! I have so many photos so I am going to let them tell the story...enjoy ​H.G. was excited when the L.s loaned her four great and entertaining LDS films for them to take on their week long vacation at smith mountain lake in VA We taught M.H. and his sons "The Gospel of Jesus Christ" with chalk again, we have found this to be a really great way to keep younger investigators engaged in the lesson and it helps them to retain it. ​I also had Elder Thompson come with me on an exchange here in Lewisburg and we finished putting the details on our Mormon Game show...for the Roncevete River Festival...which was a huge Success! ​Our Booth location...all set up  on Friday ...this was a  Friday - Sunday  event...
